Doggerel

Suzette Haden Elgin has been posting about what sf poetry is and isn’t. I enjoyed her doggerel, though I think I wasn’t supposed to:
“The Martian Dog”
The Martian dog sat on a log
deep inside a Martian bog,
threw its head back in a howl,
because it feared the Martian owl.
